I have been a believer in the benefits of cold water immersion (cold plunge therapy) for a long time and felt a need to bring this form of therapy to the academy for its benefits.
With a budget but a need for quality I was given the task to locate a quality tub and system.
Most tubs out there are expensive, which meant I would only be able to purchase one (not going to be useable with such a large department). The flip side was that the ones that were affordable were not the quality I was looking for.
That’s when I stumbled on Desert Plunge right here in Arizona. I did some research and realized these were the tubs for me. Price point was on and most importantly the quality was outstanding.
The other major attraction was that it was made for the environment we live in; which if you know Arizona it is harsh!

I bought the original plunge and picked it up directly from the warehouse. The staff was friendly and helpful, the plunge is fantastic. Super easy to put together, just a simple connection job. All the fittings are aligned perfectly and I can see all the wisdom in the configuration that makes these plunges so great. I've had the plunge for just under two months and with the ozone addon + hydrogen peroxide the water is still crystal clear. It's so awesome to be able to hop right in the plunge, get cold, and keep going. Very, very happy with my purchase.
By far the best cold plunge option on the market. It withstood the Arizona summer, never dropping as much as 1 degree during the height of the summer highs. Maintenance is simple and the customer service is top.

We purchased our Desert Plunge Wide Grizzly 450 Cold Plunge about a month ago, using it daily since arrival. Two of my sons have assembled their own cold plunges, one with a stock tank and the other using the Grizzly 450. I had experimented with both tubs and after seeing the simplicity of utilizing the Grizzly 450 I was sold on the platform. I did a lot of research, watched a lot of YouTube reviews and read as many reviews as I could find on Desert Plunge. Besides the excellent reviews, the back story on why Matt and his wife started the business sold us on Desert Plunge.
Shipping, delivery and setup were as easy as the ordering process. The tub was ordered with the optional Ozone Generator pre-installed making for a professional and neat looking setup. We took the additional step of insulating all of the lines prior to doing the final assembly to reduce condensation, which has worked wonderfully. We were able to completely setup, fill and have the chiller cooling our tub within 30-45 minutes from the time it was taken off of the shipping pallet.
While the cost of the Desert Plunge was a little more than DIY, it was worth every penny to not spend the time tracking down, ordering, fitting and assembling the various parts necessary to start using our cold plunge. We are extremely pleased with our purchase from Desert Plunge.
I have now had the Desert Plunge with Ozone for 6 months and It has exceeded my original expectations. It has performed flawlessly and maintained temp regardless of the outside temperature. I finally drained and refilled with fresh water at the 6 month mark and probably didn't really need to as all the chemical markers on the test strip where normal and the water was crystal clear. Always ready 24/7 and the company has always responded to my Queries within 24 hours or even that day. When you get a product as well thought out as the Plunge and you get perfect customer service as well ,you have to leave a review. I actually would prefer a follow up review months later for the overall picture. And NO I am not affiliated to this company in any way. I just told my son in law to pull the trigger as he has been looking for months and this is the best value/quality on the market.

The wide grizzly plunge is amazing. Plenty of space for me to get in, fully submerge and embrace the cold. At 6'2 with wide shoulders the wide plunge ensures that I am not touching the sides when in the plunge. I do have to bring my legs out to dunk my head, but that is not the end of the world. I highly recommend this plunge for everyone!

I recently purchased the Grizzly Cold Plunge Tub in gray from Desert Plunge, and I couldn't be happier with it. Living in Texas, where summers are sweltering and maintaining cold water temperatures can be a real challenge, I needed something robust and reliable. This tub is truly a workhorse. This is the best health/fitness investment I have made in years. I have been chilling out for about 4 days/week for the last month now and I can honestly say, I feel great!
