I have had my plunge up and running about two weeks now. It's amazing! I got tired of freezing ice blocks and buying ice to get my water down to even a mediocre plunge temperature when weather warmed up. I decided to invest in a hard sided plunge with a chiller. There are a lot of options out there but Desert Plunge caught my attention for the durability and the cost. I also related with Matt's story as I started plunging for recovery and mental health reasons. I couldn't be happier so far! It makes plunging a breeze no more ice and a lot less cleaning. I went with the chemical sanitizer instead of ozone because my teenagers use it too and I can't guarantee they will clean off before entering but so far no issues the filter system works great and the chiller keeps temperature consistent. I just hop in hop out and close the lid. It's saving me valuable time that I spent on temperature control and cleaning on my old tub. I set it up in my garage it was easy to set up and so far easy to maintain and it gets used daily sometimes multiple times a day with 4 people using it in my household. I had a question right after I got it and the customer service was very responsive and very helpful. Thank you Desert Plunge for putting together such a great product!

We just got our plunge over here in West Virginia. They are totally transparent and helpful with how we wanted everything shipped. When you call, you get a person…. Immediately. They are so willing to help. I got the plunge and was unpacking with my wife, and then my dog wanted to help and ate an o ring. I had to get a replacement after my dog needed a snack and called while in Home Depot(btw they offered to ship a replacement we didn’t want to wait). Couldn’t find the part while they were on the phone and so the warehouse let me FaceTime them so I could find what I needed. What company does that?! THIS ONE! They are so stinking helpful and I am so impressed!
I have been cold plunging for a decade. Did many years of bathtub plunges with ice, and a few years ago got a portable ice bath for outside. One of the cheap ones that are basically just vinyl. It worked decent during winter months but was essentially useless in the Southern California heat for 7-8 months out of the year. I wanted to invest in something a bit better and I began the long search of different options. I tossed around getting many different kinds but they all had their drawbacks and some came with massive price points. On top of that I was concerned with the water remaining cold and not overworking the chiller as it would be stored outside. That’s when I came across some videos that David Maus Jr had put out and I really liked the simple setup that Desert Plunge offered. I pulled the trigger and purchased one in August of 2024. This thing is amazing. The insulation is fantastic and keeps the water freezing cold even while the heat and sun are baking the outside of it. The chiller runs effortlessly and maintenance has been super easy. If you pick one up, make sure to opt for the Ozone. It’s been great and no need to add anything else to the water. I now use the plunge everyday and have it set at 39 degrees.
Absolutely amazing! We purchased a starter plunge with a chiller last November and wanted to move up to a better and larger unit. We did a lot of research and found Desert Plunge to be the best. So many things we love about it but a few are the “cooler” itself is hard and closes and locks. We found that the chiller has to work less because of the quality and insulation. Desert Plunge also has an option for ozone treatment, which is a must, just set the timer and that’s it. This is also the best chiller on the market. Set up was easy and only took about 15 minutes everything’s is pre done and impossible to mess up. If you're as serious about plunging as we are look no further then Desert Plunge.
